Well for specific matters, we do have specific international bodies. The IETF regulates the Internet standards. The G20 get together to. um. exploit the poor countries or whatever. The IMF likewise. or some other big player advocated such a plan, it has a chance of being somewhat useful. You not going to get rid of piracy until there a government in Somalia, but some push-back would reduce the haul and make it more dangerous.

My dream is that there will be some sort of independent ocean security deal. We can gut out some old fishing boats and such, make them real nice and comfortable for maybe 10-12 guys. Arm them to the teeth will all sorts of fun stuff and just ride around and kill pirates. I mean isn that what storybooks are made out of? Isn that the adventure we all want? There no need to take prisoners, just fire some warning shots, they start firing back and just kill all of them how hard can it be? If their boats are still in good shape we get on of the "floater" boats of the company to come by and tow it to shore and auction it off at a police auction. Talk about living the good life!

You can talk reason with these people and why, have you seen the conditions that they live in?
